Dr. Cynthia Becker provides children’s dentistry in Fishers, Indiana, to help children get started on their journey to a lifetime of smiles. We know that visiting the dentist can be scary for many children, and we go above and beyond to help them feel at ease, creating a positive environment and working to build trusting relationships with them. We invite you to call My Dental Care Family Dentistry to schedule your child’s appointment with our dentist and learn more about how children’s dentistry can benefit your child. We have also provided answers to our most commonly asked questions regarding children’s dentistry here.

Our dentist and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) recommend that you bring your child to the dentist for the first time when their first tooth erupts, or no later than their first birthday. While we do not usually provide treatment during this initial appointment, it allows us to help your child begin to feel comfortable in the dental office. Our dentist will use these early visits to monitor your child’s growth and development and can provide recommendations and resources for you on the best ways to care for your child’s mouth and smile as they grow. This includes tips on brushing, flossing and nutrition. After your child’s initial visit, we will help you schedule their next visit.

You should bring your child to the dentist every six months. This allows us to keep an eye on their oral health so that if they do experience any problems, we can provide treatment and help them get their smile back on track as quickly as possible.

If you have any questions about children’s dentistry and to make your child’s appointment with our caring dentist, please call our office at 317-849-0999. We look forward to helping you care for your child’s smile!
